Eva and Isaac were already coming for date night tonight so we also invited Sophie and Taylor Cravy to join us so their parents Ryan and Amy could go to dinner. After our dinner at home, I asked the kids if they knew what today was....and after a few blank stares, I pulled out my bag of pirate gear and let them know that today is INTERNATIONAL TALK LIKE A PIRATE DAY! Why not?!
So we headed to Cowen park and they took turns going on the zip line wearing pirate hats, eye patches and the like and they shouted "ARRR!" as they flew through the air on the zip line.
And for our treasure hunt, we headed to Trader Joe's in costume and they had to try to find Sam to get the treasure.
I must say that Micah is the one who let me know that Sam even existed when we went to get baking supplies one time... So, thanks Micah for letting me in on the fun last year. :)
