Keeping Watch

I have heard it said that the blessing of us humans walking through life together is that we get to remind each other.  And that is what this little blog is all about- to remind you how dearly you all are loved through pictures, quotes, prayers and random ponderings... 

Here is a poem by Hafiz, a Sufi poet who lived in the 1300's.   I think I have shared this with you all before, but it came to mind as I was praying for you yesterday and holding you close.  
May this reminder of God's tenderness for you and with you be a comfort and may it bring you peace today. 

KEEPING WATCH

In the morning

When I began to wake,

It happened again—

That feeling

That you, Beloved,

Had stood over me all night

Keeping watch,

That feeling

That as soon as I began to stir

You put Your lips on my forehead

And lit a Holy Lamp

Inside my heart.
