a beautiful translation and some homework to share

1-2 Watch what God does, and then you do it, like children who learn proper behavior from their parents. Mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with him and learn a life of love. Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious but extravagant. He didn’t love in order to get something from us but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that.

  What is courage? It can mean people standing up for others.  It also can mean being brave.  Courage can mean being a daredevil.  Courage is something everyone can have.

                 Once I was courageous when I tried a new food.  I was a daredevil when I went on a zip line in Nashville.  I had to be brave on my first day of school in kindergarten.  I also was courageous when I went to a new school. It was scary at first and then I got used to it. 

                My friends are courageous when they stand up for me. For example, when a 5th grader picked on me one time, I have a friend who told him to stop.  That is using courage like a super hero fighting an animal or bad guy.  I have a friend who was so brave when he moved to Malawi with his family for the year.  He has made new friends and tried many new things.

                 I can be courageous by being brave when things are scary. I can also be courageous by trying new things. When I go to the doctor’s office for shots, it takes courage. I can use courage when I have to overcome the fear of tests.  We all can be courageous. We just have to try things that we haven’t tried before and try our best.
