lots of love to pass on this afternoon....
1. I saw this card at Papyrus in UVillage, snapped a picture, and added a little message below for you...
2. a few pictures from the run this morning (Emily (whose last name is Brain), Robin, Laura, Sally, & Tina are the names of folks I remember right now)...
3. As I emailed you this morning, it was 34 degrees! Hard to imagine you running in 100 degree weather today after needing a hot shower after my run to feel my fingers again.
4. These ladies are fast. Emily and I were running together for a while (she perked up when I told her I knew you and that I was taking these pictures for you) and I asked her what the pace was as she was wearing her Garmin. Let's just say that most of our run was sub 8 minute pace. Several times I asked, she said we were at 7:30 and we both wondered what jet packs everyone put on his morning. Good grief- they are making me work for it!
5. Such fun to have a little more time this morning and to get to run the whole 13 mile loop with the crew. (Notice the frost on the grass in the picture below)
6. As I said earlier, your family is always with us in spirit at small group. We met this afternoon today to try out that time. Here is Mike setting up communion with the toys front and center. A mark of the times of parenting for all of us.
7. Just wanted you to see how big Chloe and Leah are getting!
8. This is a highlight of my weekend. I went to a neighbor's house for a party on Friday night. She asked everyone to bring a piece of clothing to put out on the table for anyone else to take if they gook a liking to it. (recycling at its best...)
Anyway, I spotted these hideous pants on the left because they look so much like the pants you gave me for my 40th... And so I took them home so that you can look forward to being my twin when you get back. Now we have TWO of these-- (one is leather, one is a cloth, but they are certainly matching!) hilarious. (I would send these over with Emmy, but I doubt you'd wear these in 95 degree weather.)
9. Thinking of you yesterday at the birthday party for Anna... (And yes, that is Anna with a unicorn horn on her head. Why not? She fit right in at Pike Place...)
